Video: Alec Baldwin Spoofs Himself on SNL
Alec Baldwin definitely has a sense of humor. Just days after getting kicked off an American Airlines flight, he spoofed the whole situation on Saturday Night Live.

Alec made a surprise appearance on ‘Weekend Update’ with Seth Meyers as Captain Steve Rogers from American Airlines. He said he wants to issue an apology…”It’s important for me that I come here tonight and on behalf of everyone at American Airlines issue an apology to Mr. Alec Baldwin,” Alec said while dressed as Capt. Rogers

Meyers than whispers, “Alec, are you sure this is the right way to handle this,” to which Alec replies, “Yeah, yeah, keep going.”

“Mr. Baldwin is an American treasure and I am ashamed at the way he was treated. What harm would it do to let him keep playing his game, not any game, mind you, but a word game, for smart people!" he says.

When asked about the incident delaying the flight for other passengers Capt. Rogers said: "It did, and it was the first time in the history of American Airlines that one of our flights was delayed. Come on, Seth!! We're bankrupt. How dare we speak ill of the great Alec Baldwin, and we can't even take off on time."

When Meyers asked him if Alec was wrong to not switch off the device due to electrical interference he said: "Would you really get on an airplane that flew 30,000 feet in the air if you thought one Kindle switch would take it down? Come on! It's just a cruel joke perpetrated by the airline industry!"

The skit was pretty hilarious and no one knew Alec was going to do the last minute appearance.

In case you missed the whole Alec/AA drama, he was kicked off an AA flight on Tuesday night after refusing to turn off his iPad because he was busy playing ‘Words with Friends’.

Right after the incident AA released the following statement on Facebook: “when the door is closed for departure and the seat belt light is turned on, all cell phones and electronic devices must be turned off for taxi-out and take-off. This passenger declined to turn off his cell phone when asked to do so at the appropriate time. The passenger ultimately stood up (with the seat belt light still on for departure) and took his phone into the plane's lavatory. He slammed the lavatory door so hard, the cockpit crew heard it and became alarmed, even with the cockpit door closed and locked.”

For his part, Alec tweeted after the incident, “Flt attendant on AA reamed me out 4 playing WORDS W FRIENDS while we sat @ gate, not moving.”
