You know what, Justin Bieber? The U.S. has given you a lot. Love, respect, a career.

And now you're doing us the ultimate favor by procreating in Canada.

The 17 year-old pop star was born in London, Ontario and grew up in Stratford, Ontario (For those of you who failed geography, those are places in Canada). And Bieber says although he likes it in the States, when he's older, he's planning on moving back. Oh, but he still wants to have a house in Los Angeles. Of course.

"I think it would be cool to get a condo out [in L.A.], but eventually I'll probably want to move back to Canada and raise my family," Beiber said. "Why? I dunno, I'm Canadian, I feel like I want my kids to be Canadian."

Say what you will about Bieber, but he's smart enough to know one thing: the world hates Americans.

Congrats to new mom Alanis Morissette, who gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Christmas day.

"Alanis Morissette and Mario 'Souleye' Treadway welcomed a baby boy, Ever Imre Morissette-Treadway, on Dec. 25th," says a rep for the new mom. "All are healthy and happy."

Alanis and her man said "I Do" back in May. She later admitted the pregnancy was a bit of a surprise.

She told Chelsea Handler back in August, "I had just sort of said in passing [to my doctor] that I was a little late … And he said, 'Let's take a quick look.'" And sure enough, she was preggers.

How precious to have a Christmas baby, so cute! Congrats you two!

Congrats to Alanis Morissette and her rapper hubby Souleye, who just announced that they're expecting their first child together!

In Us Weekly's "25 Things You Don't Know About Me" section, Alanis lists "I am pregnant!" as No. 25.

Us Weekly got all the juicy details about the pregnancy, but Alanis also confirmed the great news on her Twitter page.

"We're very excited to embark on this journey with each other," she wrote on her Twitter page at the time.

Alanis said last year that she sees herself being married with kids. “I could see in the not too distant future being married with children, absolutely, but I’m in no crazy rush,” she revealed.

“I wildly respect him. How he views the world, the lens through which he looks at life is very similar to mine. To have that in common makes me sleep well at night.”

This is such great news! Alanis and Souleye just said 'I do' on May 22nd during an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles, and now they have something else to celebrate. Congrats!

Alanis Morissette is heading to television! She’s nabbed a role on one of the best shows on cable—Weeds. She joins the cast in the fifth season of the Showtime, playing Nancy’s (Mary-Louise Parker) no-nonsense OB/GYN Dr. Audra Kitson, and will appear in at least seven of the thirteen episodes.

On this season of Weeds, Nancy’s pregnancy brings security, then jeopardy and maybe the end of Esteban’s (Demian Bichir) political career; Celia’s return to Ren-Mar brings a powerful new job prospect, Andy’s (Justin Kirk) new love interest brings unexpected consequences; and Doug (Kevin Nealon) and Silas (Hunter Parrish) open a new pot club.

We don’t know much else, except for the fact that Alanis’ character is rumored to be a love interest for Andy. He’s never had much luck I that department. So will be hooking up with his sister-in-law’s gyno? Only on Weeds!

According to EW, Alanis will also have to partake in “tasteful nudity.” Don’t forget, as Hollyscoop previously reported, Jennifer Jason Leigh will also be a part of the cast this season. We have a lot to be excited about!

Tune in June 8th at 10PM on Showtime for the season 5 premiere.

While rocker Alanis Morissette clearly loves music and that guitar of hers, she also has other extra-curricular interests. In an interview with NHL.com, Alanis admitted that she has surprisingly been a lifelong diehard hockey lover.

"I've been a hockey fan since I was fresh out of the womb, to be honest. I played street hockey a lot. Most Canadians learn how to skate when they're 2 years old. I was one of those kids, so I skated a lot on my figure skates and my hockey skates." she said.

When asked why she loves the sport so much, she said, "I think hockey is like dancing; it's such an art." To pay homage to her true passion, Alanis will be performing at the NHL Face-Off 2008 on October 9 via broadcast from Montreal.
Word on the street is that Alanis Morissette is pregnant. She recently played a show to promote her new CD and everyone was buzzing about her weight gain.

She also refused a shot of tequila when she was offered one. Ok, this may be a little blown out of proportion! A lot of non-pregnant people refuse tequila shots, and Alanis did make a point to tell the crowd that she's been battling depression for the last two years.

Depression usually leads to weight gain, so we're thinking she's just battling the blues. Plus her hot ex-boyfriend just got engaged to the gorgeous Scarlett Johansson. That can't help the ego. We'll keep an eye on her maybe baby bump, but we're calling BS on this one.
Singer Alanis Morissette was once so overwhelmed by the pressure to be skinny in Hollywood, she became both anorexic and bulimic.

Morissette recalls a record executive once "suggested I was getting too fat, saying, 'You need to go on a diet.' My response was, 'But I'm a singer.' He said, 'Yes, well, you need to get small again.'"

She adds, "That started a whole cycle. Two days later I was sticking fingers down my throat."

It's amazing (and sad) that one comment can trigger an eating disorder. She should have shoved her finger down that exec's mouth and asked him how he liked it. Unbelievable.
