Al Gore is in the clear! The former Vice President was cleared of all sexual abuse charges Friday in Portland, Oregon.

According to US Weekly, Senior Deputy District Attorney Don Rees questioned Molly "Hagerty for selling her story to the National Enquirer, failing a polygraph test and thanking the hotel management for sending her extra business two days after the incident allegedly occurred."

"This case is not appropriate for criminal prosecution. The matter is closed and the investigative materials will be returned to PPB [the Portland Police Bureau]," says Rees.

Gore's spokeswoman, Kalee Kreider, issued a statement: "Mr. Gore unequivocally and emphatically denied this accusation when he first learned of its existence three years ago. He respects and appreciates the thorough and professional work of the Portland authorities and is pleased that this matter has now been resolved."

It seems like Hagerty was just another money hungry fame whore looking for a payout. Blame it on the recession!

Al Gore has broken his silence on the alleged sexual assault claims, denying he ever had any unwanted contact with the Portland, Oregon massage therapist, 54-year-old Molly Hagerty.

The statement, released by the Gore family spokeswoman, reads: "The Gores cannot comment on every defamatory, misleading, and inaccurate story generated by tabloids. Mr. Gore unequivocally and emphatically denied this accusation when he first learned of its existence three years ago. He stands by that denial."

Al Gore's Accuser Speaks!

The case, which was previously closed due to insufficient evidence, has now been reopened by Portland authorities. Gore’s rep says that further investigation "will only benefit Mr. Gore."

Al Gore Accused of Sexual Assault

Last week police said the matter wasn't investigated further due to "insufficient evidence to support the allegations" and a prosecutor said Hagerty refused to be interviewed by officers. She then approached the National Enquirer last month, asking for $1 million for her story.

It still seems so fishy. But now that the case is reopened, we have a feeling a lot more information is about to come out! Stay tuned!

There was a dirty little new scandal that broke early this morning involving former Vice President Al Gore.

A masseuse is alleging that Gore got frisky with her back in 2006 while she was trying to massage him at Portland's Hotel Lucia. Al Gore was reportedly paying $540 for the massage, so maybe he thought that came with a happy ending.

And surprise, surprise, the 54-year old woman is now speaking to the press.

Al Gore Accused of Sexual Assault

She said: “It was apparent from the beginning he had been drinking. The hug went on a bit too long and I was a bit taken aback by it. If it weren’t Al Gore I would have seriously questioned the situation right there because a hug from an unknown male client before a session is a bit odd and unprofessional.

“I was taught that a massage of the adductors could cause an involuntary erection. When I began doing the requested abdominal area he became vocal with muffled moans, etc. He began demanding that I go lower and massaging on the abdominal area. I was shocked. He further insisted and acted angry, becoming verbally sharp and loud. I went into much deeper shock as I realized it appeared he was demanding sexual favors,” she added.

The masseuse went on to say that she informed Gore that the massage he was gonna get did not involve a happy ending and he had to take matters into his own hands. He then “pleaded, grabbed me… tongue kissed me… rubbed my buttocks with his hand and fingers and rubbed himself against my crotch saying, ‘You know you want to do it.’”

This story seems a little shady to us! Why did she wait 4 years to go public with this story? And why did she happen to go public right after Al Gore announced that he was separating from his wife of 40 years. It’s probably another person trying to make a quick buck!

Al Gore is having a rough month. First he splits from his wife Tipper of 40 years. Now we hear he’s been accused of sexual assault!

According to the Oregonian, a masseuse filed a complaint last year accusing Al Gore of sexual abuse following a nearly three-hour massage session at an upscale Portland hotel in 2006.

"He pleaded, groped me, grabbed me, engulfed me in embrace, tongue kissed me, massaged me, grabbed my breasts,” the woman told the local Fox station in Portland, OR.

Al Gore Separating From Wife

According to the report, the incident allegedly took place at the Hotel Lucia October 24th, after the masseuse was called on to perform a late night massage to a "VIP" client. Sounds scandalous already!

Upon arriving, the masseuse obviously realized the person was Al Gore. The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office in Portland confirmed Wednesday that the woman reported unwanted sexual contact by Gore to police in 2006, and the prosecutor’s office was briefed by the Portland Police Bureau in late 2006 and January 2007.

The DA said, "We were told the woman was not willing to be interviewed by the Portland Police Bureau and did not want a criminal investigation to proceed.”

But now there’s a little money on the table—she’s reportedly approached The National Enquirer for $1 million for her story. She refers to Gore as a “sex-crazed poodle” and “out of control.”

Since the alleged incident, the masseuse says she has been traumatized, has trouble sleeping at night, and that her work has been "more stressful and frightening since the incident." She is also seeing a specialized counselor.

Gore’s rep has had no comment on the story. Details to come!
BREAKING NEWS
Al Gore and his wife Tipper are separating after 40 years of marriage! The news came as a shock today via Politico.com, which claims the couple told their friends this morning.

According to the website, the couple wrote an email entitled “Email from Al and Tipper Gore,” and said, “We are announcing today that after a great deal of thought and discussion, we have decided to separate. This is very much a mutual and mutually supportive decision that we have made together following a process of long and careful consideration. We ask for respect for our privacy and that of our family, and we do not intend to comment further.”

The news has since been confirmed by Kalee Kreider of the office of Al and Tipper Gore. Kreider said there would be no further comment.

Al and Tipper always seemed to be supportive of each other, which is why this comes as a bit of a shock. She always accompanied her husband on his public speaking engagements, so we didn’t realize they were having problems!

Tipper met Gore at his senior prom in 1965. Although she came to the prom with his classmate, Gore and Tipper began to date immediately afterwards. When Gore began Harvard University, she enrolled in Garland Junior College (now part of Simmons College) and later transferred to Boston University, receiving her B.A. in psychology in 1970. She then worked part-time as a newspaper photographer until her husband was elected to the U.S. Congress in 1976.

On May 19, 1970, they were married at the Washington National Cathedral. They have four children: Karenna Aitcheson Gore Schiff, Kristin Carlson Gore, Sarah LaFon Gore, and Albert Gore III.

By their statement it sounds like there isn’t much drama behind the scenes, and sounds more like they grew apart. We hope it’s the latter, and wish them both luck on their own!
