First of all, y'all need to know the meaning of concert or show, secondly, if you take a closer look to that tape, Akon was just mimicking sexual act not that his body actually touched that girl while they ere lying down on the stage. Thirdly, the girl in question was not crying for help or showing any sign of disaproval but she was conscientiously having fun and laughing through out the whole thing. Akon, you are a celeb and from black race so be careful. Take notice of what happened to the ppl before you think about ....Michael Jackson, and all other celebs from your race and the allegations they are facing or have dealt with and be cautioned! so i just went to the akon and gwen concert tonight and it was freakin awesomeee!!!!!!! akon ripped shit up! and bout this whole 14 yr old girl thing...i can't really see how he's at fault here, ppl r acting like the girl's the victim and shit but seriously did u see whut she was wearing...at a club for ppl aged 21 and older none the less, and like someone else said above...if the girl had been 21 i'm sure there wouldn't even be a controversy, so everyone whos hating on him just shut ur pie whole n let the dude sing...cuz he's freakin awesome at it!!!! It's very intersting to read what the people ahead of me have said. Being a Trinbagonian I must say that I am somewhat disappointed at what happened with the 14 year old at he night club. But haven't we all done something in life that we are ashamed of. Whether you want to admit to it or not I know that you have. I know that I have. Not because you didn't get caught doesn't mean that you didn't do anything wrong. The point I'm trying to make is 'let go and let God.' While we're up at 3 and 4 in the am. Akon, the 14 year old girl and the boy that Akon threw off the stage are probably asleep. What we need to ask ourselves are: why are we loosing sleep over this. Everybody want to talk this thing to death. I don't agree with the decisions Akon has been making lately but there is nothing that I can do about it but pray and ask God give him some direction so that he doesn't keep on making the same mistakes. I guess it takes some people a while to catch on. Whatever Akon did is already done with, next topic please. And to all those people calling him names take a close look at what you did to someone else today or yesterday or last week, go on take a good look. Do you remember? Now think about what they're saying about you. Don't take this Akon thing to heart. Love goes out to all.

"ghetto" isn't a racial or racist term. The term has historically been used to describe poor areas (mostly isolated from the more well-off neighborhoods) in Europe. The current US use of it mainly refers to poor neighborhoods in this country. Even with the current use in this country- there's no way you can suddenly make the jump 'poor neighborhoods equal a particular race.' I assure you, poor neighborhoods (aka 'ghettos') are filled with people of all races. And yes- I think people would still be making a big deal of this issue if the girl he violated was 21 years old. There's no excuse for this guy's behavior, his violent lyrics, or the fact that he even got to this level to begin with.

I wanted to comment on the Akon situation. I truly do not believe that he was at fault when it came to the 14 year old incident. There was only supposed to be fans over the age of 21 years old at this event. He shouldn't be liable for what a hot young girl did ( lying about her age to enter a event). I think that was something that was not his fault. Would we react this way if the female was 21? I doubt it. Lets be realistic about the situation at hand and back off.

Yeah... he's still a loser and a poser. The song is likely Akon's attempt at damage control before Gwen Stephani's people come after his nasty butt for money lost on the concert - it's a business, after all. I imagine his contract has some stipulation that if he's responsible for money lost on the tour, that he must compensate for same (someone's got to pay for the loss of Verizon's sponsorship). At least, I sure hope there's a clause like that! Sorry, but I just don't see an ounce of talent in this guy. I know real-life tough guys that'd eat him like a snack (he wouldn't even be enough for breakfast). Wonder how tough he'd be on his own, without his "posse" around...
