Adriana Lima was born on June 12, 1981 in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. At the age of 15, Adriana took first place in Brazil's Ford Supermodel of the World Search. Adriana finished in second place in the 1996 Ford Supermodel of the World contest. At the age of 18, Adriana moved to New York City and signed with Elite Model Management. Both Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio have toddlers running around, but fellow VS models Doutzen Kroes and Miranda Kerr literally just gave birth. And everyone is already in tiptop summer bikini shape.
Adriana confessed to Hollyscoop at the Victoria’s Secret Swim 2011 launch party on Wednesday that motherhood has changed her life for the better and if it’s possible, she feels even sexier now.
“It was the best thing that can happen to my life,” Adriana gushed to Hollyscoop. “During pregnancy it was great. Those pregnancy hormones did wonders to me,” she said with a laugh.
Being a Victoria’s Secret model is the sexiest job in the world. But now that she’s a mom (She gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in November 2009), she feels even sexier!
“I feel much more beautiful, sexier, more womanly. I think my hair, my skin is much better now,” added Adriana.
And fellow Super Mom Alessandra agrees! “Motherhood changed my life in that everything I do I think about my daughter. I got to work and when I have a pause I just think about my daughter and what she’s doing,” she confessed.
“I just give more time to be with her and take care of myself to be able to take good care of her,” added Alessandra.
And with a couple of years of experience under her belt, Adriana had some great advice to give to new moms Miranda Kerr and Doutzen Kroes.
“They were asking a few questions,” Adriana confessed. “I think they’re very responsible and very gentle. I’m sure they’re being wonderful mothers!”
Victoria’s Secret model: check. Great mother: check. Amazing body: check! Oooh life is grand when ‘Victoria’s Secret’ is part of your name.

Her rep released a statement saying, "Adriana and Marco are thrilled to announce they had a baby girl, Valentina Lima Jaric, in New York City on Sunday, November 15. Mother, father and baby are all doing well."
Adriana and Marko got engaged on Lima's 27th birthday in 2008, and then eloped this past Valentine's Day in a small, private civil ceremony in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Adriana said she loved ditching the runway to be pregnant. She told Us Weekly over the summer, "I used to love chocolate -- I was such a chocolate lover until I got pregnant! But now it just doesn't appeal to me at all. I haven't really had any [cravings] since I got pregnant. I hope I get my love of chocolate back because I really did enjoy it!"
Even Jaric is excited to be a first-time daddy. He told People, "Even in my wildest days I knew that I wanted to be the ultimate family man. We're ready to settle down."

The supermodel says she's in no rush to lose the baby weight she gained from new daughter Lou, and is planning on just taking it easy.
"I don't know if I'm going to try to get ready for the show," Klum, 36, told People before the arrival of her and husband Seal's daughter Lou on Sept. 9. "I'm going to totally play it by ear and see what happens."
When Heidi gave birth to her son Henry back in 2005, she got back into top shop in less than two months and walked the runway at the Victoria's Secret fashion show.
"[Victoria's Secret] knows that it's very close after [my due date], and they are not putting any pressure on me, and I'm not putting any pressure on myself!" she said. "It's not a lot of time [to get back in shape]. I think I'm going to take it a little bit easy."
"The most important thing is for our little girl to be happy and healthy," Klum added. "That's the main concern and we'll see what happens after that."
This years show is just a few months away (November) and some of Victoria's Secret's biggest supermodels are still pregnant. Adriana Lima and Karolina Kurkova won't give birth in time, so they'll be watching from the sidelines.
Forbes.com unveiled its list for top earning models in the world and Gisele came in #1 banking $25 million dollars from June 2008 to June 2009. That might seem like a lot of money to us average Joe's but that is actually $10 million less than she earned last year when our economy wasn't in a recession. Ya, we don't feel that bad for her either!
We might be in a recession, but that isn't stopping Gisele from getting ad campaigns. Bundchen has deals with Versace, Dior, True Religion jeans and Ebel watches.
The beautiful and bubbly Heidi Klum came in #2 on the list earning $16 million last year. The recession didn't really impact Klum because she actually made $2 million more than the previous financial year.

Lima is reportedly 3 months pregnant and according to People magazine, the couple is "overjoyed" about the baby news.
"Adriana and Marko are overjoyed that they are expecting their first child together and are excited to share the happy news and start their family together," say her rep.
Two weeks after she tied the knot on Valentine's Day, Lima had to deny pregnancy rumors after someone posted a blog on a fake Adriana Lima Myspace account.
At the time, a statement from the star read: "I'm not pregnant." Lima's publicist added: "The MySpace page is a fake. Marko and Adriana are very happy, but not with child. They plan on having a family one day in the future. But not now."
Well it looks like the time is now! Congrats to the couple! Can't wait to see her gorgeous baby. What do you think they should name the baby?

According to Sports Illustrated, the 30-year-old guar Memphis Grizzlies basketball star is under investigation for sexually assaulting a woman in Philadelphia.
The alleged assault reportedly happened when Jaric was in Philadelphia to play the 76ers back in February.
The couple secretly wed in a private civil ceremony in Jackson Hole Wyoming on Valentine’s Day. Some honeymoon phase!
UPDATE:
Marko Jaric's lawyer claims his client is 100% innocent. He released the following statement: "I received official word from the Philadelphia District Attorneys office that after a thorough investigation no charges will be filed against my client, Marko Jaric, in connection with the alleged incident with an unnamed female on February 11, 2009 while his team was in town to play the 76ers.
"Persons in Marko's position are often the target of malicious statements and it is not unusual for the police to be asked to investigate.
"However, these allegations were proved to be completely false, and while Marko is extremely unsettled by these accusations, he is happy that the law enforcement authorities have cleared him of any criminal conduct and the issue can now be put to rest."
