Adam Lambert confirmed that he is gay in the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine now we can all move on with our lives and Adam can begin his new life as a rocker.
"I don't think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I'm gay," Lambert says.
"I'm proud of my sexuality," he adds. "I embrace it. It's just another part of me."
Just because he's gay don't expect him to be the leader in gay rights. "I'm trying to be a singer, not a civil rights leader," he tells Rolling Stone magazine.
Lambert does admit that he was a bit worried and nervous about coming out while Idol was on air because he felt like it might hurt his chances.
"I was worried that [coming out] would be so sensationalized that it would overshadow what I was there to do, which was sing," Lambert tells the mag. "I'm an entertainer, and who I am and what I do in my personal life is a separate thing. it shouldn't matter. Except it does. It's really confusing."
We don't know how Adam Lambert confirming he's gay became such a big deal. Thought we all knew he was gay when the pictures of him in drag kissing boys were leaked.
Lambert's Rolling Stone cover hits stands Wednesday.
