Aaron Spelling was born on April 22, 1923 in Dallas, Texas. After attending Southern Methodist University, he moved to California after marrying actress Carolyn Jones in 1953. Upon arriving in California, Spelling became the most prolific producer in history. In total, Spelling has 218 producer and executive producer credits.
His most notable creations are Beverly Hills 90210, Dynasty, Melrose Place and The Love Boat. He was diagnosed with oral cancer in 2001. Spelling suffered a stroke in 2006 and died shortly thereafter. Spelling is a true icon in the television industry.
