50 Cent Slams Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys has been getting a lot of heat for making negative about rap during an interview with Blender Magazine. She said, "Gangsta rap was a ploy to convince black people to kill each other." She spent an entire week trying to explain herself and the comments saying she was misunderstood, but one person who isn't buying it is rapper 50 CENT.

50 Cent gave Alicia a little piece of his mind. This is what he had to say about the whole situation:
"I don't like Alicia Keys no more though … the same reason why I said that I don't like Oprah Winfrey. I'm prejudice(d). I don't like people who don't like me. If you don't like the content that I write because of my experiences; I am being who I am when I am writing it. I fall into that 'label' as far as you considering artists creating 'Gangsta music,' we fall into that.

If she don't like that, (then) I don't like that classical music shit she be doing. At some point she's playing some shit that don't relate to me. We listen to it and try to figure out why people actually enjoy it. I am trying to enjoy it. That statement changes my perception of Alicia Keys totally. But the magazine is standing behind it, which means they probably have a tape of her in conversation saying it. It's just not really a bright comment anyway."

Alicia Keys can't sing and her songs suck. Yes, she is a wonderful piano player and is very attractive, but that's it. As far as Gangsta Rap goes...if Oprah and Alicia had any guts they would attack Gangsta Rap, Satanic Rock, Racists Rock, Death Metal, Hate Radio, Hate TV News, The Sopranos, Soap Operas, Queer As Folk, CSI, The L Word, Sex In The City, Monster's Ball (a favorite of Oprah's), violent Arnold Schwarzenegger movies (Arnold being a personal friend of Oprah), Desperate House Wives, racist and sexist reality TV, and finally the violent movie Smokin' Aces which starred Alicia Key's as a murderous hit woman (talk about a hypocrite???)...as being morally distorted views of society that encourage people to engage in wrong minded activity...including real life violence and twisted sexuality!!!

This is no different than rap music...but because black men are the majority of the genre's creators, they become an easy target for attack by people like Oprah and Alicia Keys. Alas, Oprah and Alicia fall to attack their white peers for the same thing??? If they were sincere, they would attack all offenders equallly, regardless of color...or art form!!!

As for 50, he is a supporter of George Bush and Dick Cheney...so he is just as much of a fool as Oprah and Alicia Keys!!!

50 Cent should just grow up or change his name to 50 IQ. Alicia and Oprah are powerful women, trying to make a change. They're not satisfied with just making money, they want to better the world. I think he handled that interview really badly (saw it on youtube). He just reacted badly, targeting Alicia directly, when Alicia said nothing personal against him. 50 Cent should just grow up. He has no right to say that Alicia says isn't "bright". While he was bludging off his grandparents she was graduating valedictorian of her prestigious performing arts school she worked her ass off to get into. And to all you 50 supporters who say she's racist- you must be just as stupid as 50. Her work in Africa, and her music PROVES that she isn't.

I have to agree with 50 on this one. I think Alicia Keys has a phenomenal voice and incredible piano playing skills, but she needs to leave rap alone. She doesn't know what it's like living in the ghetto or selling drugs, just to put food on the table. And for all you 50 haters, he WAS shot nine times; not 3 like some of these idiots think on youtube. Ya, Oprah and Alicia are powerful women and, if they want to try to change the world, more power to them, although, everybody knows one person CANNOT change the world. Maybe one country if it's small enough. I don't recall anybody saying that Alicia was racist. I think she was being hypocritical of rap music by sang it's the reason why we have violence in the streets. There's violence everywhere, people! Get over it! Basically, she's saying she doesn't give a damn about where 50 came from and the hardships he went through. We all go through hardships, but he could turn around and say he doesn't give a damn about her graduating valedictorian at some "prestigious" performing arts school. Hell, Tupac went to Baltmore School of the Arts!

Just when I think 50 can't be any more IGNORANT.....It doesn't matter what kind of music you like, the point she was trying to make is that glorifying violence is destructive to the community. As far as the bull**** excuse that he just raps about his experiences,the last time I checked, he'd bought a house in Farmington, CT (real gangsta)and his son attends private school. Why doesn't he rap about that? Probably because it doesn't sell.....So he raps about violence to make more money, not to express himself. His life is anything but gangsta now, and no one calls him on it.Sell-outs are those who sacrifice the well-being of their community for their own self gain(ie drug-dealers). In making music that he probably doesn't even let his son listen to, he isn't much better.
