30 Rock” went live twice for Thursday’s show, delivering one performance for East Coast viewers and a second show for the West Coast, with a slight casting change in guest stars that made for big laughs.

In the setup, conservative NBC boss Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) broke the bad news to Liz (Tina Fey) that to reduce costs they’d have to stop filming her show “TGS” live every week and tape it instead.

“From now on,” he instructed, “you write and shoot the season in two weeks, like ‘Wheel of Fortune’ and Fox News.”

Anything can happen on NBC tonight! “30 Rock” goes live, which marks the second time that the sitcom tapes an all-live episode! No cuts, no edits, no “let’s take it from the top.” Tonight’s episode could potentially feature tons of slip-ups, surprise celebrity cameos, and I dunno, use of the BLEEEEEP button!

Tina Fey recently told Entertainment Weekly that tonight’s episode will feature a cameo or two from some “friends of comedy, some friends of ’30 Rock.’”

Also, anything that has “live” and “Tracy Morgan” in it at the same time, is bound to be a spectacle. In the teasers for the episode, Tracy thinks “live” means “no script.”
Don't MISS out on Breaking News!
In the midst of all the Alec-Baldwin-Has-A-Stalker drama, Alec may have dropped a hint that he’s leaving his NBC sitcom “30 Rock” soon.

Quick back-story – Alec Baldwin has a stalker that may or may not actually be a stalker but rather is just some woman that he doesn’t want to talk to anymore. Anyways, a pack of news crews descended upon Baldwin’s apt this week to report on the “stalking” story. This upset Baldwin, forcing him to vent his frustrations on twitter. #AmericanAirlines
This weeks episode of 30 Rock is going to kick a**!

Matt Damon is set to return as Tina Fey's emotionally unstable boyfriend and Jon Hamm is also rumored to make a special cameo.

NBC is trying really hard to keep the details of the episode under wraps, but Entertainment Weekly reports the episode will revolve around a taping of the fictional live variety show TGS.

HOLLYSCOOP EXCLUSIVE

We’ve heard rumor upon rumor about Alec Baldwin leaving 30 Rock a la Steve Carell’s upcoming departure from The Office.

Hollyscoop brought it up on the Emmy red carpet with cast members Maulik Pancholy (Jack’s assistant Jonathan), Kevin Brown (Dot Com) and Katrina Bowden (Cerie), and they didn’t seem happy about Jack Donaughey’s maybe resignation.

“I don’t know,” said Pancholy of his on-air boss. “You are going to have to ask him. Me and my character hope he stays around as long as he can.”

Bowden, whom we’ve spoken to about this very topic in the past, said, “I don’t know either, of course we all hope he stays as long as he can.”

Brown told us (as the uber-fans) not to jump to conclusions quite yet. “You know what, they do this in basketball,” he explained. “I don’t know if you remember when the free agents were negotiating what teams, they always say ‘I don’t want to go to NY,’ which means NY has to break open the piggy bank for them. That might be one of those things that Alec is saying so they know they have to be ready if they want to keep him around.”

Well, he’s definitely worth whatever he’s making! We think Baldwin should be the highest-paid TV actor over Charlie Sheen!

Matt Damon is headed to television! He’s reportedly landed a guest-starring role on 30 Rock. We guess the word must have gotten out that he wanted to be on the show!

Last year, Tina Fey mentioned that Damon was her number one choice for guest stars on the comedy, to which Matt responded, “I would do 30 Rock in a heartbeat if they asked me to come on. She should call my people — or even better me. Or I could call her. Let’s make this happen.”

Matt Damon: Marriage is Ridiculous

Well they obviously got in contact! According to EW, details on Damon’s role are being kept under wraps. But we do know his appearance will happen towards the end of the season.

NBC has given the green light on three of their outstanding comedies, who will live to see another season. According to E!, the peacock network has picked up 30 Rock, The Office, and Community for another season.

This comes just days after NBC announced they were renewing Parks and Recreation. Entertainment chief Angela Bromstad said in a statement, “We are happy to give these early pickups to these critically acclaimed, incredibly funny comedies. As a result, we look forward to continuing our rewarding partnership with the respective creative teams and talented show-runners for 30 Rock, The Office and Community as they all consistently deliver quality shows.”

The Office is reportedly NBC's top scripted series overall and the No. 1 scripted series on all networks amongst adults ages 18-34. 30 Rock is the most upscale comedy on broadcast primetime television in households with $100,000-plus incomes and among the adult 18-49 audience. While Community isn’t as strong, it’s still holding its own with 5.9 million viewers on average.

We think they made the right choice keeping all three!
30 Rock is getting a little taste of Jersey! No, The Situation hasn’t landed a part on the NBC sitcom. But Bon Jovi is!

According to TV Guide, Bon Jovi will be joining the cast as a guest star on the Valentine’s Day episode, which shoots this week in New York. According to the report, the episode will reunite Liz Lemon, with several old lovers, including Bon Jovi. Dean Winters, who has recurred since the series started as Dennis Duffy, will also star, as well as SNL’s Jason Sudeikis as former boyfriend Floyd.

Tina told TV Guide at the SAG Awards where she picked up a best actor statue, "Liz is upset to learn Floyd is not only getting married, but is competing to get a free wedding on The Today Show.”

And to satisfy the female viewers, Mad Men’s Jon Hamm will also return! Tina also mentioned that she was worried about his newly grown beard. She said she told Hamm, “So, you're going to shave that beard for Saturday Night Live, right? (Hamm hosts next week's show.) And he said, yes, Lorne Michaels asked him to shave. So he will hopefully also be clean shaven on 30 Rock."

We’d take him scruffy any day! Sounds the Valentine’s Day episode of 30 Rock is going to be one not to miss!
Can you imagine 30 Rock without Alec Baldwin?! He and Tina Fey carry the show each week, and the humor never falters. Alec was awarded the Golden Globe yesterday for his role as Jack Donaghy on the show, beating out other top contenders Steve Carell for The Office and Matthew Morrison for Glee.

But it is a possibility that Alec won’t be around forever. There’s been recent talk about him not renewing his contract in 2012 so that he can pursue other projects. An in an interview with Fancast.com, Jack McBrayer (Kenneth) says there wouldn’t be a show without Baldwin. “If he leaves, I think the show leaves,” he said.

“That is a fear I live with on a day-to-day basis over there” he said. “I take it with as much a grain of salt as I can, hoping it’s not true. If he leaves, I think the show leaves.”

It’s true. The 30 Rock cast is made up of so many great actors, including Jane Krakowski and Tracey Morgan, and McBrayer says they have a blast on set. “We all get along very well. I don’t think of myself as someone who has a lot of demands or anything. I don’t like tooting my own horn, but I’m pretty easy going. It’s easy for me to go with the flow and fit in where there’s the most room,” he says.

But we agree with Jack that without Alec leading the show as Vice President of East Coast Television and Microwave Oven Programming for General Electric, we’d probably stop watching. So please, Alec, renew your contract in two years! 30 Rock could be the next Seinfeld and go on for 5 more seasons easily!
Tracy Morgan is known for playing the role of Tracy Jordan on 30 Rock, and prior to that, for being on Saturday Night Live. And when he’s not on-screen, Tracy does stand-up on the side.

But if you’re going to go to one of his shows, be warned that it gets a little raunchy and politically incorrect. Last night, Tracy took the stage at Carnegie Hall in NYC to deliver jokes to Manhattan’s finest as part of the New York Comedy Festival.

But rather than making people laugh, Tracy just made people leave. According to the New York Daily News, several people walked out on the raunchy routine, which even included sexual references towards Barack Obama and Michelle Obama.

A source tells the paper, "There was a continuous flow of people getting up and leaving throughout the show."

But Tracy didn’t seem too offended by the mass exodus; he told the crowd, "You want the clean Tracy? Turn on the TV.”
