2012 BET Awards: And The Winner Is....

It was the biggest night of the year for African American entertainment on Sunday and, as expected, it was quite a show.

The dream team trio that is Kanye West, Beyoncé, and Jay-Z took home the most awards for the evening, per usual.

Kanye and Jay-Z’s collaboration wasn’t just a hit in the live, world tour version, but on the recorded version as well. The Throne scored “Best Group” as well as “Best Video” of the year for “Otis.”

Spike Lee made an appearance at the event, taking the stage next to bad mother f***ker host Samuel L. Jackson. In honor of The Throne, the duo performed their own rendition of “N***as in Paris,” which was – surprisingly – pretty good. They changed title to a TV-safe "Nigros in Paris" and reworked the lyrics in order to make mention of the various celebs in the room.

Jackson not only pulled off the role as master of ceremonies but is already being hailed as “the perfect host.”

Taking home matching star trophies for the evening was Chris Brown. Breezy did not win for “Best Bar Brawl,” but instead was honored with “Best Male R&B Artist” and “Fandemonium Award.”
